Ghana: Criminal Code (Amendment) Act, 1993 Section 1: Genocide

Section 1 of the Criminal Code (Amendment) Act, 1993

A person who commits genocide where, with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, any national, ethnical, racial or religious group, he

(a) kills members of the group;

(b) causes serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;

(c) deliberately inflicts on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;

(d) Imposes measures intended to prevent births within the group; or

(e) forcibly transfers children of the group to another group".

L'article premier de la loi de 1993 portant modification du Code pénal

Se rend coupable de génocide toute personne qui, dans l'intention de détruire en tout ou partie un groupe national, ethnique, racial ou religieux, quel qu'il soit,

a) Tue des membres de ce groupe;

b) Porte gravement atteinte à l'intégrité physique ou mentale de membres de ce groupe;

c) Inflige délibérément à ce groupe des conditions de vie de nature à entraîner sa destruction physique totale ou partielle;

d) Impose aux membres du groupe des mesures visant à empêcher les naissances au sein de ce groupe;

e) Transfère contre leur gré des enfants de ce groupe dans un autre groupe."

En el artículo 1 de la Ley de reforma del Código Penal, de 1993

Será culpable de genocidio el que, con el propósito de exterminar la totalidad o parte de una comunidad nacional, étnica, racial o religiosa,

a) Mate a miembros de la comunidad;

b) Cause daños físicos o mentales graves a miembros de la comunidad;

c) Sitúe deliberadamente a la comunidad en condiciones de vida que tengan por objeto conseguir su exterminación física total o parcial;

d) Adopte medidas destinadas a evitar los nacimientos dentro de la comunidad o

e) Transfiera a la fuerza a niños de una comunidad a otra.
